Just had a thought, wouldn't braided cables add more air resistance in the case, compared with just regular insulation? Also what happens to the warm air as it penetrates the weave of the fabric?

braided cables i guess would be less aerodynamic and therefore slightly impede airflow.

not that the effect will be measureable i reckon.

warm air penetrating the weave lol i have no idea almost nothing i guess unless your heavily into thermo-aerodynamics and materials science.

tbh if your going to the length of doing this you will also be the type of person to put in a lot of time to hide the cables lol.

what i am saying is most of the cable will be out of the way of air flor to start with so it wont realy be much of an issue.

In some cases where it's used to bunch cables together it'll actually aid air flow. Thinking about it, you spend all that time braiding cables and then hide them away..WTF:duh:...lol

Unless you have loads of cables in the airflow paths, I cant see it making a massive difference in temps.

thats why i wrap all my cables in rolls of electrical tape...for the aerodynamics :naughty:
