any guides or such, ill show u a pic of my case so i can get any hints, its a cooler master cavaleir im thinking of getting rid of teh green sleeves, ugh, and maybe braiding the wires or sleeving them in black, i have a fan in the side winow for more air
Leave the top 5" drive bay empty, and put a drive in the next one down, makes a nice fit to cram all the loose cables out the way - especially that big fat green one lol
Slide any small wires underneath the motherboard and if possible, stuff the rest bahind the drive slots or in them as stated above .
I have just finished braiding my Neopower 480.... If you can afford it when you upgrade your PSU go for a http://www.silentpcreview.com/article173-page1.html http://www.silentpcreview.com/article177-page1.html http://www.silentpcreview.com/article193-page1.html These make cable management a breeeze I'mm sure in a year all new PSU's will be the modular type. Matt
The X-Connect will make life a dream lol. I hear that Maximum PC gave it a stress test it couldn't pass though...any one validate that?
Shift as many of the drives up to PSU level as you can, (ie hdd's etc) as long as you have enough drive bays. This reduces the cabling around the motherboard area. I tend to tape any spare spurs to the reverse of the mobo tray, and tuck and unused molexes which cant be under a drive or into a drive bay... Any fan cables are usually easy to loose in a case. As for IDE cables, use roundeds or SATA where possible, and if not fold the IDE's and keep then as close to the case sides as possible. Hide any excess either under the mobo, or again in a drive bay Will try and grab some decent pics of mine laters, need to sleeve the psu though
that is some really nice cable managment... very clean... im planning on doing mine tonight while i work a night shift... heres the pics of it at the moment... (apologies for the terrible quality of my Phone camera..) ive got about 150cm of corragated tubing that im planning on using for the management, ill post some pics tomorrow once its complete (fingers crossed!)
nope, its an Eye T 500w Aluminium one and very nice to! its got a adjustable 120mm fan, which works really well in unison with my CPU cooler to keep my case temps down... heres another couple of pics of it...
<shameless pimping>clicky</shameless pimping> Try to hide as many cables as you can behind the motherboard tray, behind drive cages or behind/ontop of the psu And remember, if you can't hide something, make it pretty (aka sleeve it )
Here are some more picture's for your viewing pleasure. I am just spreading ideas and the art of cable folding. Well, that's it for now.
