Just thought I'd pop this in this forum, nothing really PC related though. When I got my nano I didn't get a dock with it, so after seeing the article under the modding tab I decided to try it, click the pics to enlarge them.

    Room under the tonneau cover:

Got this idea from the front page as well, using the elastic band to hold down the tabs so the nano can plug in easily:

Hole cut in tonneau cover, not the cleanest but you can't really see it:

I thought about having it sit right on top like this, but ended up not liking the look of it, wanted it lower:

Pics of the nano sitting in it:

It is a functioning dock correct. As in the ipod does actually connect to your computer with it? Otherwise It is a very cool looking mod. I like it :thumb:

Oh and, welcome to the forums! :thumb:

It is functional, basically the usb cable runs from the back of the computer through the under body of the car. I used electrical tape to secure the ipod connecter to the body of the car on the inside. So basically whenever i want to sync up music to it, or charge it, just plug it in the tonneau cover.

Just wondering, does not the sync cable use locking clips to hold the cable in the iPod. Unless yours is different how did you work around that.

I took an elastic band, and wound it around the locking clip about 15 times to keep it depressed in, so i can just plug the nano in it easily, you can see that in the 2nd pic.
