These things get me really angry, if these patents get through, my future as a professional programmer will be limited considerably. I don't know if you've been following this since the beginning Dad, but the proposition has caused a real mess and has been a true eye-opener for many of us Europeans, who now have lost some faith in the European Union. We've had man protest-actions against the software patents, the whole of the population that knows a bit about what's going on is against it and the politicians know this very well, yet they keep on trying to push the proposition through. We suspect great bribery here by the many big companies like Microsoft. The politicians have used many dirty tricks to try to get the proposition through underhands, but luckely Poland was, as the only country, against it.
