Right, I've got some fairly decent (big) gigs coming up, and I know I can't take my dSLR, so thats outta the question.
Phone camera is ok, but really not good enough.

So i'm wondering if I can get a camera that can offer me good quality in low/intense light for under the £100 mark if possible.
Zoom is bonus, but not a must really if there MP are there :)
Movie mode with sound would be nice too.

I know its a simple process, looking at P&S, but I find it quite daunting, and to me, dSLRs are much easier to understand. Soooo many P&S models burn my mind. :p

    Canon if possible too. :p

    Ta all!

£100, good for gigs, and Canon too eh? Damn that really narrows it down. I bet there are loads of options. Personally I think there's no such thing as a compact for gigs/low light shooting, at least not anywhere near that budget thats for sure. Maybe someone else can elighten us.

Greg: My GF has a little P&S that I used at the Jack Johnson concert we attended in Berlin and I have to say that after setting it up manually I was actually able to take a few decent shots even though there wasn't much light.
Auto-mode sucked though. But I manhandled that baby ;)
