being able to build the world? wouldnt it be still limited to what u can build? but nothings perfect some idiots gonna screw it up
im not convinced this will be good.
With experienced games companys out there already competing to create a good mmporg ( with blizzard leading the way atm) i really dont know how these guys will compete.
Probably he will hire someone to do it, good idea, but not very practical IMO.
If they haven't started yet, theres no way it will be out in 2007, I think every developer new to MMO's to date (and some who aren't) have underestimated the problems, money and time involved in making one by 1-2 years at least.
I had this idea ages ago; essentially think of an RPG that starts off with a few AI controlled cities. Through trade, adventure or brazen robbery, you build up funds and you can build your own citadels on land you own. Then, through election, war or sabatoge, you take over the bigger kingdoms. Wars would be immense, with tens of factions being possible. Imagine how a game would be if her servers could handle a hundred thousand character battle. Of course, you don't re-spawn during the battles, and the provices/regions held are contested for a time after. Having people like mages by your side who can actually create magics rather than being bound by the traditional developer only system can let you even build things like floating cities but beware, during a war, strong rival magics could send your city to the ground.
