Hi - we have two Tektronix 1241 logic analyzers - but we don't have the slightest idea how to use them. We also don't have the manuals Anyways - all we want to do is to get to a screen where it shows us the inputs real time. The only other logic analyzer I've ever used automatically booted to this screen - so I'm completely lost here. Any suggestions? Thanks!
There are manuals for this bit of gear on the internet. I found PDF's of them in a quick search of google. One of the joys of Tek equipment is that pretty much any thing you need to know about them are on the 'net manuals
True, you can get many manuals from Tek, but only for so many years after an instrument is out of production. This instrument is about 20 years old, nothing wrong with that, it just means its past what Tek will support. Their database only goes back about 10 or so years in the current lines of equipment. I checked their database, and couldn't find it. BTW to download from them you also have to sign-up, it's free, but unless you are like me and have a use for emails/technical newsletters from them..... The documents you need are: #070-4340-01 operators manual ( Vol I ) #070-4717-01 service manual ( Vol II ) #070-5378-00 service manual ( addendum ) #070-4594-00 the 1240D1 installation guide ( helpful, but your gear is already together ) all these are available at the link I gave above. and he price is right. You could e-mail Tek, but any help they might be able to give will not likely be free. Were talkin over 300 pages of manuals.
