can anyone read japanese?

Fox got here first, but yeah, I can read a bit.
Currently in Japan for Grad school.
I've had 4 years of Japanese classes but I'm still rubbish.

edit: Nexxo, online translation is terrible with google or babelfish.
I've not found anything that works as well as my dictionary.

I can read japanese, but only when I read it outloud. Unfortunately since I don't speak Japanese, I have absoutly no idea what I'm, saying.
