Networks can anyone recommend a good USB wireless adaptor?

    My mate's broken his PCMCIA slot on his laptop and so we're looking for a USB wireless adaptor. He needs something to connect through a few walls so something powerful but small-ish. He only needs 802.11b speeds but I thought a 802.11g adaptor would increase the range if operated at b speeds. Did I just make that up? :p

    Anyone tried one of these? This luinksys 54G? It looks easy to position and the aerial is a plus. I wonder what the drivers are like?
