    Hi all,

I'm moving flats next month and will need to get my hands on a wireless card for my desktop.

I have gone through options on various on-line retailers but can't find any decent, recent reviews of them so wondered if any of you have a good recommendation?

The wireless router will be located on the floor above me I believe...

Nothing too expensive, but a decent bit of kit that I won't be embarrased to slap in my system!

    Thanks in advance...

If you have a spare PCI-E slot, (1x, 4x or even 16x), I highly recommend the Abit AirPace Wifi PCI-E card.

Rock solid connection, easy setup and cheap! A no brainer at under a tenner!

EDIT. Scan's delivery charges are too high.
Microdirect can supply inc. del. for £11.28

Cool thanks, I did actually see that review on BitTech but thought there might be something newer about as it was in 2007...

But I guess you are right - at £10 or so its a bit of a bargain and also gives me a bi fo flexiblity should I need to position the aerial slightly.

Thanks for the retailers links, made my job nice and easy!

Yes, that's exactly what I did the other week. Went to order it from Scan put was faced with £7 delivery. Went to MicroDirect and it was a lot cheaper.

    A great card!

Consider a USB one and an extension cable, the short distance will make quite some difference, more than you'd think
