Steam Can games be swapped from Steam account to account

    Hi guys, i have games in my steam account that i dont play anymore but my son would like to try them, is it possible to swap games from one steam account to another steam account, thanks guys

    Afraid not. It isn't something they've been able to implement yet.

    Family sharing used to be great.

    It used to be the case that you could play any of their games as long as they weren't playing the actual title.

    Now its the case that if they play any game in their library you get kicked off which sucks massively.

    Steam have annoyed me no end recently

    If my son has a dvd collection and I want to watch his copy of terminator while he watches predator there's nothing to stop me so why do steam do this.

    Again if my son has several games on xbox 360, he can play one while I play another.

    I didn't realise they'd done this - that's rubbish and makes a good feature almost useless.

    I think it's to prevent people making pooled accounts, particularly for single player games. I guess the viability of it depends on how brand loyal you are when it comes to digital distribution of games. I can happily play an EA, blizzard or GOG game while one of my brothers plays a game on my steam library.

    It also serves as a way of demoing games that you're on the fence on.
