Well anyone who follows me on twitter may be aware, me and the missus have swine flu... (or at least a heck of a lot of the symptoms enough for NHSDirect to tell us we have it and for my GP to refuse to see me.)

All in all it doesn't seem that bad and to be fair I have enough random medicaments to make it a hell of a lot easier to cope with.

First of all.. Lemsip Cold and Flu Max Capsules (decongestant, caffiene and paracetamol)
As an aide to sleep, over the counter (or if poss proper strength) Co-Codamol.

Then for all times and/or as necessary.
    Immodium/other brand anti-diarrhoea stuff
Domperidone or branded version - Anti sickness
Ibuprofen or branded eg Neurofen - Eases aching joints and muscles.

And I also find that putting a 2 Litre bottle filled with water in the freezer until just the outside makes a crust of ice is really soothing and just a bloody good idea for getting that much water into your body.

Sleep and pity are good too. But being as the missus is ill too.. pity is hard to come by. I'm sure she think's I've got man swine flu.... bah women.

Push the fluids and treat the symptoms is all you can do. At least you have company to share your misery.
    Heal soon.

So what do you suggest doing with all your spare time if you're under quarantine?

To be honest, I'd much rather have the swine flu now than later. Chances are most will get it at some point anyway, so it's better to get done with it in summer time, than in fall when I should be in school, it's raining, cold, and any sickness seems more hostile than ever.

Ofc it would be better not to have it at all, and I sure hope I won't get it, but you get the point...

Also, I hope you get better soon! Last fall I spent a week in bed and had fewer, not eating anything makes you feel funny, doesn't it? Just try to tuck something in, whether you feel like it or not.

**** yourself into a stupor, of course.
Agreed, but there may be a cure later on.

    Get well soon everyone!

There may, or there may not, yes. But the flu is also changing all the time, so... You can lose either way, that's the bottom line :D
