Modding Can I do anything with LCD from cell phone?

    I have an opportunity here caz my dad is scraping his old one. Its a nice phone but he got rid of it caz they dont make it anymore. Anything I can do with it?

    I was going to try the same thing. I think one guy did it. But the problem is getting a chip to control the lcd. I did alot of searching for data sheets on the controler and lcd screen from a samsung phone and came up with nothing. So basicly yes its possible but it will not be easy. good luck and let me know if you find much info for your phone.

    its either get a controller or make one im afraid

    EDIT: then u need to dind sw that supports yer controller

    The guy who makes the Yampp portable MP3 players has interfaced a few nokia screen before. I believe he's done the 33xx, 5110 and 7110 screens. Might wanna check out his site and forums: http://www.myplace.nu/mp3/index2.htm
