I am VERY new to overclocking. I have had this card for awhile and frankly it's a piece of crap. Playing Guildwars on low is just plain wrong. Not only that, the damn thing can't handle cutscenes when it show's the landcape. The thing chugs like no tommorrow.

Anyways, I'm gonna buy a new card in a few months, and I thought since this crap is gonna go to the garbage soon, I might aswell try to OC it. Is it possible with this card? Can anyone tell me exactly how to do it?

I got that rivatuner, but I'm not exactly sure how much I can OC it. How much can I move the slider for the memory and the core clock? Is it possible too move it TOO much and break it? Anyhelp would be great, thanks.

Go slow about 5-10mhz at a time, doubt that card will go too far on stock cooling. And yes you can break it by oc'ing too much too fast.

Ahh, memories ... Back in the day i bought a GF3 Ti200 which i could never get to work (even after an RMA). Anyway, i sold it to a friend after we dicovered that it ran in his system, and i got his MX400 in return, which was a substantial upgrade from the MX200 that i had been running. The one that was from his system was passively cooled, and no cooling on the ram. After i put a couple of heatsinks on the ram, and bolted (pretty much literally - screwed bolts into the ramsinks) a 6 cm CPU fan on there i tried a little overclocking. In the end i had it running with both core and memory sliders (in the driver panel) all the way to the right, and it was happy as larry. Can't remember what the frequencies were now, only that it was quite a lot over stock.

Wouln't recommend doing that though, as you can damage your card by too much overclocking. As -H- said, take it a little at a time (and one at a time). Increase Mem OR Core Clock by 5mhz and test it with 3dMark or similar (it's worth also noting down benchmark results so you know how much you're getting). Keep going until you loose stability or start to see artifacts (graphical errors) and then back it off a little. Repeat for the other frequency. Have fun, and good luck!

Those cards pwn :D. I use Coolbits to overclock Nvidia cards just because its handy to not have to install a seperate application ;). I got my old Geforce2 Mx400 from 200/166 to 250/200 with the stock Athlon64 cooler strapped to it :)D)

i've still got and have tried to OC an MX400/440 it did overclock a bit but not that much as it got fairly hot even with a Blue Orb GFX fan on it...not much performance was gained though
