    I thought the extra set of wires on ATA100+ was to allow crosstalk between devices?

    No it is to prevent crosstalk (noise) between the signalling lines due to the higher speed.

    if you open up the blue connector you'll see that theres 60 crimpy bits.. (the jaggy spikey things..) & not 4 like the other 2 thing the grounding strip is the middle row..

    if you dont believe me lookup the ATA100 spec ;)
