When I am playing TF2 I usually just have fun win or lose, especially when me and a couple of friends from work are coordinating Spy attacks on the other team haha. When I get into CoD 4 though, my whole mood changes. I can't approach CoD 4 with a light mood. I become serious, I want to win, and it makes me want to slap someone; especially when I hear the S.A.S guy say "Bloody hell we got our asses kicked". I get really focused and a friend of mine I play with tend to coordinate very well when we play online as a team. We usually tend to place top 3. When one of us doesn't we get upset, and become frustrated, but we stick it out. I just finished a very good set of rounds on CoD 4 Team DM. We went back and forth with the other team completely stomping, and then utterly losing, but the same team members on both teams maintained our average k/d for the maps. It is fun, but in CoD 4 losing just feels so much more upsetting than losing in TF2 or even Warhawk.
i stopped playing CSS because i got bored of the waits between rounds (i got killed alot) and i generally sucked at it. i don't have that much time to practice playing games anymore so i'm not gonna blow my time against 12 year olds who spend their lives on CSS servers. when i play with my cousins it's a great experience cuz none of us are experts, so we just enjoy playing together. on the other hand i do ok at BF2, generally in the top 10 in a 64 player server, and i don't tank whore nor do i fly anything nor do i play sniper. i'm a foot soldier . it's only ever 15 seconds between tickets, and i don't have to put up with running out of cash to buy weapons, nor do i have to put up with "BOOM F*CKING HEAD SHOT" or those ridiculous mods that people have on their servers. it's a much more accessible game.
Only 13% of voters (me included) admitted to sucking in the majority of online matches, so presumably everybody else comes in the top 3. I need a mathematician to outline clearly why that makes you all liars!
i have fun regardless of what happens, but i have more fun if i beat people. which there isn't really an option for, so i chose the one where i ruin the results, haha.
