Jessops have it for a couple of quid less. Id really like to get the 350 or 400D, maybe a bit much for a first real cam. Only had point and shoots before :p

In Belgium we have them everywhere in stock. Best price I found in a real store in Belgium is 781euro for the body alone. That's probably about 510-515£. So you guys are cheaper, since you get the kitlens for about the same price!

On top-foto.de (germany) they have it for 680euro (about 450£) though. But that is quite a long drive for me.

Yeah, pretty much everywhere I've seen has them. I took a look at one in my locak Jessops through the glass case and is it me or is it actually smaller than the 350D ? it looks tiny!

Jessops excludes digital SLRs from the 10% discount :wallbash:

Though if you use the code "DANCER" you get £25 off the price.

There'll be a Canon (double too) cashback promotion this month, dunno if the Europeans are treated the same as USA, but it might save you some $$ on accesoires (lenses!)

According to tech specs, it's actually bigger (about 1mm wider grip). I've held them bouth and I can't say I felt any difference at all. So they didn't listen to the complaints about the grip.

The battery-grip is the same as on the 350D so it's kind of logic that it isn't bigger or smaller (besides that 1mm).

Just bought myself the 400D body and the BG-E3; boy it feels very good holding the combo! I can't see people complaining about build quality as it feels rock solid.
Now i need to get me a lense.....bag...omg what have i started :sigh:
