I doubt you'll be CPU limited with a 3.6ghz i7 for a while, but yeah, you'll be safe at that speed.

Also, I don't recommend ibuypower, all I've heard from them is bad service, and bricks. :(

Well, I heard that building your own PC doesn't lock the BIOS, and has pretty good build quality. :thumb:

Why not? Follow some guides, take your time. Get someone to help you!

I mean, the only prebuilt PCs I would somewhat recommend are hellishly expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Oh, you're dealing with IBP? Well, if you want to keep doing so (and for the record, I've never really heard any negative things about them), what you have is probably crazy overpowered (seriously, you do NOT need a V10), so I found their i7 custom configuration page and had at it. Try this. It's a bit more cost-efficient, but it's still more than high-end enough to kick ass.

Case: Whatever you want - HAF932, right?
    Case Lighting: None
    Power Supply: Corsair CMPSU-1000HX
    Processor: i7 920
Processor Cooling: Xigmatek Dark Knight (almost as good as a TRUE)
    Motherboard: ASUS P6T
Memory: 6GB DDR3-1600 [Corsair or Major Brand]
    Video Cards: 2x GeForce GTX 285 1GB
Video Card Brand: Major Brand Powered by nVidia
Hard Drive: 1TB Hard Drive (obviously you can adjust this to whatever you want)
    2nd Hard Drive: None
    External Hard Drives: None
    CD/DVD Drive: None
CD-RW/DVD-RW Drive: LG GGC-H20L Blu-Ray Reader and DVD+R/+RW Burner Combo Drive (the best Blu-Ray drive around)
Sound Card: 3D Premium Sound Onboard
    Speaker System: None
    Network Card: Onboard
    Floppy Drive: None
    Monitor: None
    2nd Monitor: None
    Keyboard: Logitech G15
    Mouse: Logitech G5

That comes out to US$2,222. There are some caveats here, though. First, if you don't have speakers already, get some. Second, this configuration doesn't include a monitor, as I highly recommend you get a monitor from somewhere else. IBP's options aren't the best.

    Hope that helps,

You'll have better luck in monitors here.

Come to think of it, you might be able to swing better prices for your G5 and G15 there, too...
