I've spent quite a while now on trying to decide which case to use for a new build but i can't make my mind up.

Currently I am looking at the HAF 922, Antec 902 and Xigmatek Utgard. I like the look of the Utgard the most but i read that there were some issues with fitting in large graphics cards, and i plan on buying a GTX 570 (length 10.5in - 266.7mm). The Bit-Tech review says this:

With the hard disk caddy positioned directly behind the top 16x PCI-E slot of your motherboard, you'll be limiting the length of graphics card you can install. A 9in long ATI Radeon HD 5850 was a tight squeeze, use anything longer and you'll need to move the drive module (and its fan) down into the lower-most 5.25in bays. This will impact on the amount of air flowing toward your graphics card and CPU cooler.

Any advice would be appreciated on whether to look at other cases or if this isn't really much of an issue. My budget for a case is around £100, thanks.

Choose a HAF 932 rather than the 922, it'll cost more, but it is bigger and will house a gtx 570 with lots of room to spare.

I would choose either an antec 100 or a cm storm enforcer/scout

Thanks for the replies. The HAF 932 does look like a good case, the only thing putting me off is the lack of a dust filter.

Yeah i have had a look at that too. Starting to get a bit expensive(£135 on scan), but if i'm going to be getting something considerably better i am happy to pay a bit extra. I Would much rather have something I am completely happy with, instead of coming to a compromise with a case £50 or so cheaper.
Ty again for suggestions, it's quite likely i will go with the HAF X unless someone has something similar to suggest(I checked out the Antec DF-85 and hated the appearance).

Probably a bit over your budget but... Xigmatek Elysium?

    Silverstone RV 2?

    Corsair 600T?

The Elysium is much bigger, it'll fit any motherboard or GPU with masses of space to spare

    Compared to a HAF 932

There's a reason this is one of the fastest selling cases ever...

Being a PC enthusiast you'd think I would have a uber high end case and would recommend one. But I dont and hold firm to the code 'its a box'. Enough decent fans on a semi-cheap case and your good to go. These $200-300 cases are ludicrous IMO.

Anyway, I'd rather throw the extra cash at better hardware. :thumb:

So get a $50 case, some rheostat controlled fans and have a heyday! :D

Nothing in my case is overheating, and overall its a box that sits on the floor and holds my components in place. Dont get me wrong, my case is not uber cheap, but it wasnt uber expensive either - it serves its purpose and does it well. :thumb:

To me the case is as much of the PC as everything else. Mine sits proudly on my desk so I can see it and show it off :)

Aye, I see your point. :thumb:

I used to have flashy lit up computer cases and the such. But overall I like the unassuming case to be out of the way, but still a power house!

I suppose, but I dont drive my computer around! ;)

I have come to learn this with computers - its not the look of the machine, its whats inside that counts. And not to sound like an after school special - its the heart that counts! :D
