Im getting a new system, but I cant decide what gfx card I should get in it.
Ive been looking at these cards: (sorted after pricing)
    PowerColor Radeon X800GT 256MB
    XFX GeForce 6800XT 256MB
    XFX GeForce 6600GT 256MB
    Sapphire Radeon X800GTO 256MB
    Gainward GeForce 6600GT 256MB
    XFX GeForce 6800 256MB
    Sapphire Radeon X800XL 256MB

What should I buy? I want to be able to play games such as BF2, F.E.A.R, Quake IV and Starship Troopers with as high bla, bla, bla.. (You know what I mean, and I dont want to sound like a stupid counterstrike player..)

And oh yeah, I want to be able to play AvP2 without crashes aswell ;)

Go for a 6800 Ultra if you have the money....
Any of the 6800 line is great...

Well, the Sapphire Radeon X800XL is most expensive card that I can afford, so a 6800Ultra is impossable..

A 6800GT coupled with an NV Silencer should clock quite nicely and will easily provide a smooth gaming experience.

and thats still more expensive than the X800XL (to be able to afford that, i'd have to skip my tft monitor.. and I need one since my 7 year old crt monitor is about to break down)

I suggest you to go for a 6800 Ultra or X850 XT too.
Maybe you could save some money ,and get a better card
    (have higher in game settings).
rather than a cheaper card that would not last as long.
The GPU is in a high priority. :hip:

If you looking for the performance vs. price.
I would suggest the 6600 GT.

Well it wont really be that great on a 6600gt, compared to a 6800 of some sort anyway.

I think the 800xl is a good shout

Don't bother with a 6600GT. You will end up wanting more in notime.

Grab yourself (and do it QUICK) a X800 GTO2 and unlock the pipes to X850XT :) Should give a great gaming experience and they're cheap too...

Need to get in there fast though.....

Good choice! Had ordered 3 GTO2s when they were $215 or so, but demand shot the prices way up! Ended up buying a Connect3D (is that the one you bought?) x800GTO and it unlocks to 16 pipes becomming a x800XL. Mine overclocks very well so I'm happy:
