Anyone know what I may be doing wrong?

Just got a new laptop (Dell D420) which has built in wireless. Now I know the wireless works as Ive used it at work and on other networks.

However it just won't see my wireless at home. I have a sky broadband router.

My home PC and my wifes laptop which are also both Dells had absolutely no problems finding the router.

Any ideas why it can't see my wireless. I just don't know, when I search for network connections Im finding neighbours etc but not my own (mine is broadcasting).

So any suggestions? all help appeciated

possible problem that I have seen before is if the router is on Channel 12 or 13 - some devices only support the USA channel allocation of 1-11 and thus will not see a router on Ch12 or 13.

No security on the router that I know of.

I have changed channel to 13 though so will try 11.
