I had a 4850 in my computer (vista 64) and it had to go back because it went bad. I have my old 1950 pro in right now and I can't get the drivers for it to install. I uninstalled the old ones. But when i install the correct ones for it from the ati website, nothing happens. It just installs the "ati installation manager" and then quits. I don't think it is detecting the card.

    Any advice?

    Try running a driver cleaner.

From experience Driver cleaner is very good, but not free.

This I've not tried, but worth a shot.

Ended up removing the drivers(again) but when windows tried to put on a default driver i made it install from the ati directory that the ati install files had made.
Still wasn't able to run in 1920x1080 (somehow was in 1600x1200 even thought my monitor doesn't support it) so I tried the ati installer again and this time it worked.
My 4850 can't get back to me soon enough!

I stand corrected. it does support it. Didn't know that....
