Ah sorry, it wasn't pliers, it was one of those anyway.

UPDATE: I took Fisher's suggestion and used a flathead screwdriver to pry around the edge and eventually managed to get it open :)
Cracked the lid ever so slightly but who cares! The booze is free again!

This is what I love about bit-tech, post a thread about my booze being stuck in the bottle and I get 20 replies within a few hours :)

    Cheers guys!

How does it taste then? That's meant to be quite expensive stuff there.

Really nice, very smooth. I can almost drink it straight! Mixed with a little lemonaid and some fresh lime it tastes fantastic.

I'm trying to figure out why the lid went back on the first time. Open container - finish contents.
    Simple rule. :thumb:

Even a Russian (yay, more racial stereotypes made while drunk) doesn't drink Vodka in that manner.

My family make whiskey so I wholeheartely agree! :thumb: (That said, they make vodka also)

Also it always made me laugh how Diageo who own half the Scottish distillerys and Guiness are actually based in London.

Who cares where they're based, so long as they keep churning out the good stuff and don't let the recession affect the prices at duty free :hehe:

I've thought Guinness was based in Westminster, Colorado.

They seem to make it faster than I can buy.

Don't know about the stuff you guys in the states drink John, but any drop of the black stuff you drink in the British Isles comes from it's original home at St. James's Gate, Dublin!

I have been drinking Guinness for 56 yrs. My Grandmother Rose from county Cork started me with a shot glass full. Wee toke for a wee lad - no harm.
Never had the time for labels, it's the contents that matter.

    I have a couple bottles of the good old usquebaugh :) including;
Glen Ord Single Malt (Can't buy in shops in this country, only at the Distillery but no longer produced, now its the Singleton of Glen Ord),
    Johnny Walker Black Label
    Famous Grouse (won it)
    Glengoyne 10yo

Also I seem to be unique in Scotland in that I don't actually like Irn-Bru.. as weird as that seems.

Ending Credits: elaborate :) small scale or bigger?
