I thought we'd sorted you out Shawn??

So instead of buying an expensive car that's too fast, you're going to buy an expensive, ugly VAN that is relatively new, than waste a load more money on spraying it??

    Dude, WTF?!

I have no idea what's going on in this thread.

Did you create this thread to ask our opinions on the colour scheme?

Anything but silver. Really can't stand them. Seems like every other car is freaking silver. Bunch of boring...*ahem*. Sorry lol.

    Aww..

I also have no idea what's going on here, but I'll give an answer anyway. Burnt orange goes really well with black IMO, but as you'll be the one living with it, so the choice should really be yours. Why don't you take a picture of the vehicle and mock up some colours in Photoshop or GIMP?

Please post a picture of it if you have one, on the off chance it doesn't look as ridiculous as I'm picturing it

Might I suggest that if you want a daft colour that instead of getting a car sprayed up you buy a white/silver one and have it wrapped?

After all once you spray it up it'll be a) hard to get rid of, and b) incredibly difficult to do a job which will last and stay looking like a factory spray.

Wrapping a car is pretty sweet. It's just as expensive as painting but when you go to resell it you can peel it off and have the boring stock color most lozers like

Exactly. Painting a whole car properly is an incredibly expensive and time-consuming process, even if you just start with a bare shell and some body panels it still takes masses of time and money.

If you don't do a proper job you just end up with terrible-looking paintwork or at worst a pile of rust.

Would your mam not feel a bit out of place in an orange Scion with lots of carbon fibre?
Also your not very percise in your colour choice.
If i went into to get my car painted in 'Blue' or 'Green' i would be laughed at so try and give some more info :)
    Blue pearl is is nice.

    (sigh)

It's a small, low powered, slow car. Why cover it in carbon fibre. It looks stupid on a car like that. It looks stupid on cars that need it, so it's doubly stupid on this thing.

I thought we'd talked you out of the Need for Speed mentality?

You clearly have no understanding of basic PhysiX - having carbon fibre attached to your automobile is guaranteed to make it 17.4388% faster (top speed) with an acceleration increase of 846.513%

Also - you will be irresistable to every woman in the world as it shows that you have a massive trouserSnake!!!:worried::worried:

Changing the color on a car is a massive job. To do it properly you will often have to disassemble doors and in some cases take the engine out of the car. You could simply paint the outside of the panels, but that will look very cheap.

Anyway, if you really want to do this, then stay well clear of gold. You can have gold rims on a Subaru WRX, but most other things it looks bloody awful.

May I suggest painting it black with flat black stripes? Or black and dark silver stripes. (If you go for stripes, avoid stripes that belong to a certain brand. Giving a car credentials it doesn't deserve will never be a good thing)
