Why should someone not spend that much on their first car?

If someone spends alot of money on their first car, maybe they'll look after it better and be a more sensible driver.

What I'd do is get some nice alloys on it.
Lower the suspension slightly with better quality shocks.
    Sports exhaust system
    Air filter

If I was to paint it, I'd probably go for electric green with black wheels, black spoiler and maybe black bonnet. Or maybe bright yellow.

Im glad the OP is sticking to his guns

I quite like the car its very unique, yeh he is dressing up a bit ricer but i like how it sounds, besides whats the point on splashing on a car that he can't drive legally at full performance and speed anyway?

He is picking a car he likes and styling how he likes he asked for an opinion on a colour, and everyone came trolling in with not even constructive criticism.

The only thing i would agree with is looking at resale :) make sure you don't go to overboard that if for some reason you decide to sell the car it would be to over the top for many peoples preferences

    Lowered, and colour changed.

And this is one I did a bit more on, I would have liked to have changed the alloys, but it proved too much at this late hour, :D

    Hope you like, :D:thumb:

What ever colour is... yes COLOUR...... it's gonna be recalled because the brakes don't work... or the throttle sticks.... or it has a tendancy to want to only turn left...

    You get the idea

Green and orange both look good. I actually quite like those standard wheels too.

Yeah, they're not bad. Probably good enough to keep and save the money to go towards the colour change.

Can you get wraps in these sort of colours?

As far as I know there's not much limitation on colours, metallic might be harder/more expensive but flat colours won't be limited.

im rethinking maybe like the yellow gold color and some carbon fiber splitters and do a carbon fiber wrap on the mirrors and handles i think that will look better and maybe a carbon fiber roof scoop....maybe

Please don't do a roof scoop. A bit of CF wrap here and there is a reasonable styling choice, but a non-functioning roof scoop? Oh dear. :p

hey, since it's gonna be riced, maybe rice it properly...

    ...what about some graphics? :naughty:

As all the resident party poopers will agree, decals have the advantage of being easy to remove come sale time.

Personally, I'd be taking care of audio before anything else, but that's just me.

If the OP wants to paint it, that needs doing first.

    I do.
I know I need a decent stationwagon, and the Avensis is about the most reliable car out there, but I alway fall asleep looking at it.
Darn the consequences, I'll have to buy an Alfa eventually :D

Of the colour choices, I'd go ASBO orange.

It's only, really, a two part paint, and they're pretty decent paints - Even from Aerosols - to apply, so you stand a much better chance of getting the paint down without any major cockups.

Although, I'd be very sparing with CF wrap. I'd at least investigate CF skinning if you really want the CF look (Carbon Mods instructional video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rTWaV1imzs ) because of all the CF sticker based wraps I've seen, they've been completely hideous, and been instantly discernible from real CF.

At least, while not weight saving, a real CF skin would actually look like CF (By.. You know, being CF..).

    Don't forget a nice Type R decal :D

    :worried:

Its not more of being riced out rather then just looking good. My sisters ex jason had an infiniti g35 with splitters on the bumper rear bumper and side skirt with black mirrors and carbon fiber door handles but his was white it looks really nice not to much and not to little.
