Having had my car a month or so, I'm still figuring out the head unit. For the most part, I'm pretty much there, but there is one annoyance. Picture this...your driving along, listening to Radio 1 (or your station of choice), and every ten - 15 minutes, the CD player will beep, and show 'SEARCH PI' appears on the screen, and there is about 15 seconds of silence I wouldn't mind if it was traffic reports, but it's annoying the hell out of me at the moment. Link to the CD player is : http://www.digitalstores.co.uk/mini...?productPK=unittest-Qj3XOuXtIlfwDExDqN3IEb-13 Any ideas? I thought it would be best here, but it's not really computer A/V related....
That usually means it's lost the signal for whatever reason (or the signal's become too interferreed with), so it's searching for the same station ID on a different frequency. If you're on the boundary between 2 transmitters, then it'd be switching between the 2, or if you just live in a dodgy signal area it'd be losing hte signal, then scanning up through all it's frequencies and starting at the bottom before returning to where it was before. Sometimes there might be a setting to turn off the auto-scanning...
OK. Also does anyone know where I can find a manuel for the sodding thing. It's a nice head unit, but can be a pain in the backside sometimes...
It would help if we knew what specific model it is The link you provided in your first post just tells us it's a Ministry of Sound unit. There's no mention of the specific model (that I can see)? You could always contact them direct of course, and ask if there's a PDF manual for it?
It would help if I knew. Short of taking it out and looking, I can't see anything printed on it. Also, any ideas if it's possible to wire it into the steering remote?
