Norwich Uninion is very good for a second year, Privilege and Tesco are pretty good for first years. Different firms charge differently depending on the car.

    What car do you have?

    www.confused.com

go there, register and you get qoutes from lots of insurance companies, not just 1. I thought you'd get car insurance for that quite cheaply.

As has been stated, go to confused.com, then take the top 3 quotes and phone around them directly, playing them off each other to beat them down lower.

Bear in mind your insurance should go down a little when you get to 25 as well.

Yeah I found out they don't like to ensure anything even remotely chav, so anything ford they seem to be very expensive, anything with GTi in the name. They don't insure imports full stop.

I can't believe 3.5k for insurance on a Ka, how old is the Ka? Is it worth £3,000? I'm quite lucky my insurance is cheap!

That seems very steep for a 1.2!

Bindi, next year go with Norwich Union with your clio, they are super cheap. At 19 with a 1.2 clio insurance (fully comp) is only £350 (down from £1555 last year with privilege - cheapest I could find!). I expect it to be even cheaper for you when you're 23!

Yeah it's in my name. It might have something to do with the mileage I do? Maybe they think because I did 30k in my first year and didn't crash I'm a low risk?
