Do you honestly think it's possible for any company to fund courtesy cars of similar specification to the cars they are temporarily (bear in mind the word TEMPORARILY) replacing?

That's insanity.....Aston Martin make very few cars a year, it would be ridiculous to assume they could spare a few for courtesy cars!

Also, look at it this way, a freelander, of *ok* spec, costs about 17 grand (ish) for a 5 door, bear in mind they have probably have to have 3 or 4 of them, thats already what, minimum 50-60k. Also, many land rover dealers aren't actually land rover, they are other companies which represent them, so they don't get much of a discount to buy these cars, and, as someone else pointed out, they don't actually have to provide them half the time...

On another note, I'm glad you see the error in your ways, and I'm very jealous that you have an aston!

    [Rant On]

    damn yanks
    damn hummers
damn environment burning yanks with their hummers and their trucks
"heh look man my hummer does 12mpg that makes me a man" - WRONG makes you a looser who's ruining the environment in something which looks and acts like a shed on wheels. 4x4's should be owned by farmers or estate owners who have a need for the thing. My grandads estate runs a land rover defender, 35mpg and it is a proper 4x4 that won't break down when it's faced with the cold weather or something which isn't tarmac (It's never touched tarmac). There's no need for something as big as a hummer because they're pathetic, made by yanks to compete with the world who doesn't actually want something that takes up two lanes in any other country.

    [Rant Off]

more like comparing a 6800 to a quadro type card, basically does the same thing but designed for different very different applications
you wouldn't use your aston for driving hours and hours on the motorway with the whole family's stuff in there would you? :p

Yea and you wouldn't use a H2 just to drive the kids to school. (unless there is 9ft of snow on the ground)

sure you would, if you're stupid enough to buy an H2 in the first place im sure you're stupid enough to use it to just drive the kids to school :p
point is you physically couldn't fit a whole family + luggage in an aston

we barely fit in our focus estate :p

Yeah I can't even fit in the back anymore.
    and the boot is tiny.
Worth it though, blasting it to over 120 is always fun

    Not true...

There was an old man years ago who lived near my grandparents who had a db6 shooting brake. Was gorgeous.

    Coachbuilding = a forgotten art :(

If you have the money, Aston Martin Lagonda will build you a DB9 Shooting Brake.

    Failing that, a coachbuilder will.

But it tends to be only the genuine rich, rather than the nuveau riche that would go to a coachbuilder....

    Where's hazza - he'll agree with me.

You'd be surprised what money can get you insured on...if you look around enough, you'll find a quote, it'll obviously be ridiculous money though.
