Little bit of progress this morning.

How do you void the warranty of a Velociraptor? Well, since it expired i wasnt too worried. Only has a few weeks of use off a fresh RMA and with 5 million MTBF im sure this wont hurt a bit.

    Some more reveals...

Carbon fiber and metal flake paint :)

Front panel Corsair badge with metal flake clear on it

Top of the front panel covered in 3M Di-Noc, im only using the 2 USB ports and audio ports so i covered everything else up since there are no wires to hook them up with as i removed them. The power and reset buttons are also covered up but can be felt. Im not using the stock HDD and Power LED's so covering up these buttons was not a big deal

Tray and fan grill on the top case piece also with Di-Noc and metal flake paint treatment

Close up of metal flake in day light

Misc pieces with same flake treatment

    Close up of I/O port

Custom PWM fan i made from an ASUS assembly. I had some spare mesh from the side panel so i took an idea from Kier at XS (i think?) and used a soldering iron to 'weld' the pieces

this build is golden :D sorry for making you feel like you are talking to yourself :waah:. Just got onto bit-tech today to do a sweep through for a jackpot. I miss the old AMD... man what you are building is truly nostalgic, back when ATI and AMD both got my blood pumpin, and the color scheme that you are opting for is def unique. Mod on my friend :clap:

Placed an order from Xoxide last night for the rest of the stuff i need, 3- 120mm Yate Loons and 3- 140mm Yates and a couple misc pieces of this or that. Also ordered two 22" 16:9 Samsung LED monitors from Wal-Mart (of all places and only $99!) for $250 shipped rush, so those will come Thursday. All three of my current Samsungs are suffering from failing CFL convertors and just sit there and flash at you all day if they get a couple mins of 'off' time. This bothers me as i cant have the monitor turn off and have to run the screen saver all day.

Thanks! No pics yet, but i got my order in and im working on getting the final touches and waiting on yet a couple more items that i forgot about. I ordered a Ram cooler by XSPC and the thermal pads that come with the kit are TOO THIN!!!. They dont grasp the ram good enough. Hear me XSPC? So on top of paying $75 for the cooler kit and 2 extra ram coolers, i have to spend another $23 on 1mm thick thermal pads...not to mention they were hand cut and very crooked, kind of shocking considering how well the block is made.

Yet another talking to myself update :)

    XSPC ram cooler and modules

Decided to take some of the spare mesh i had and make a replacement cover for the plexi trim piece

    Cant have silver screws!

    Artsy stuffs

    With barbs

Testing the LED ports and difference between each cover, what do you think? If i keep the solid piece, should i treat it to a metal flake dousing?

    Forgot to add this part:

Quick and dirty, kinda. Needed a way to add some lighting up top as a sort of glow but didnt want it to be obnoxious. Switch controls the LED strip, i left it white intentionally to reflect more light.

Not quite UV, but certainly not pink

    With the top cover

With two 140mm fans. Better pics later on in the mod.

    WOW - incredible.

The first iteration of it for your ex - that was nice, really nice.

This rebirth of it - way beyond just nice. It looks good, but it doesn't look like you went too far with anything. It all looks to be done to the same high quality level, and I just like it.

Thank you for continuing to post, even with few comments coming forward.

Wow! Amazing! You put such details in this build, really stunning! I hope you won't make it overdone tho, but I'm sure that'll be fine ;)
