My family and I are considering taking one next summer. I was just wondering if any of y'all have been on one or to the places where I will be stopping.

The Itinerary is here - http://www.carnival.com/Itinerary.a...de=WCG&shipCode=CQ&durDays=7&subRegionCode=CW

It will be stopping in Montego Bay, Jamaica; Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands; and Cozumel, Mexico.

If you have been on a cruise, but maybe not a Carnival one, I would like to hear your experience too.

Been on 2 cruises. Royal Caribbean, and Carnival. The Royal Caribbean was by far the better cruise line, much better service, nicer staff, and better accomodations, but both were fun. my trips were to the bahamas, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands, so totally different trips, but if you have a choice of Cruise Lines, Take the Royal Caribbean. Much much better.

I saw the Carnival one as kind of like a Red-neck cruise (No offense to my fellow rednecks, I have no problem with that) but if I was paying money for a cruise, I would want to be waited on hand and foot, and not have to worry about anything, and not be on an overgrown pontoon boat full of loud and rowdy good ole boys.

In Britain it's usually only pensioners that go on cruises, it must be different over in the USA

I've been on ~30 cruises (parents used to be travel agents), but never on a Carnival. I've heard that they're quite good though, always stuff to do onboard, although the service isn't meant to be quite as good as some other cruiselines.
