Finally, Porshe have released a modern car i can wet my pants about. I think the car is stunningly beautiful, and am looking forward to seeing many on the roads of Surrey (Guildford is teh uk capital for porshe ownership, woking is the uk capital for ferrari ownership).

    Lady's and Gents the GT

The Cayenne is absolutely awful IMHO, you call it a hearse, well I wouldn't want to be seen dead in one. Sure its fast (the Turbo is insane), but its soo ugly...gimme a Range Rover or X5 any day of the week, if I have to have a 4x4.

The Carrera GT is soo sweet, doesn't it cost something like £300k though? Still reckon I'd buy a new 911 GT3 Clubsport or the old 993 (the 'old' 911) GT2 though, if I was rich enough to by any Porsche I wanted.

    :)

Carrera GT is about £250,000 so you'd have £50k change :D

Looks a bit weird with the longer wheelbase (to accomodate the rear engine) , but you gotta love those ceramic composite brakes and the fact that you can hit 100mph quicker than most performance cars hit 60. Awesome !
You've got to laugh though - all that carbon fibre and kevlar and the gear knob is made from a bit of wood (maple) !!

[edit] BTW, the GT's laptime at the Nurburgring was nowhere near the Radical's which is £200k cheaper !

RADICALS RULE ALL, drove one on a race day, nd there soooo fast, bit scary, cos since there soooo light, it feels a bit like a leaf in the wind but there REAL race cars (nd there road legal 2)

then again, i live in guildford, nd ive seen alot of porsches (even the one my uncle sold to get his new bimma)

shame there r no modders in guildford, maybe there would be more shops to acomodate our needs lol LIKE WATERCOOLING

Actually I think the Tuareg looks at least 1000 times better than that Porsche monstrosity

They are making them at McLarens new Paragon plant in Woking. I was driving to work the other morning when i saw one in full "street camo". It was all black with silver stripes all over it to break up the shape. They must of been driving around a potential buyer! That car has a hooj bonnet on it!

Much prefer the Porsche myself. Although I think I prefer the GT2 to the Carrera GT.

at risk of blowing my long-standing loyalty for Woking - how is it the UK capital of Ferrari ownership? Is there even a dealership? Somewhere in Sheerwater mebbe?

Now South Ken & Chelsea - Def the place to buy Ferraris, Astons, Lotuses, Lambos, etc etc :eeek:

Guildford may be flawed  but the Porsche garage is worth a gander - try to blag a test drive... :cooldude:

    [Woking for the cup! Doh!]
