I've got a Fractal Design Arc Mini, my floor is a thick carpet and the gap underneath is a bit narrow. I'm worried about air flow, and was wondering if its sensible to fit taller feet? I could put a bit of sheeting/hardboard underneath but that feels a bit naff. I'm not looking for classy expensive feet, but ones about 2cm tall and hopefully cheap. Any suggestions please?
Would these be any good ? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Oak-Furnitu...379615484&sr=8-2&keywords=soft+furniture+feet
If its a carpet floor I'd be tempted to use something like a half ball shaped foot that will slide along the carpet easily, rather then the fluffy type linked above. Not sure how they will last long term. I'd personally look for something which screws to the case from the case insides into the foot. Thanks, I've seen a 'Rubber Cabinet Foot 1" Dia. x 1" H' that could be suitable. Not flashy, but about right.
Ever the cheapskate I've settled on using a bunch of demijohn rubber bungs from the local homebrew shop at 75p ea!
I use bed legs for my computer and it's very steady. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/categories/departments/bedroom/24822/ Easy to adjust the height of the chassi as well
