My Oil Immersion PC with Industrial AC Unit I was requested by one of your members to post pictures of my mod, what follows be pictures and descriptions. please excuse any shoddy cameraman-ship. I'll start with the old and work forward to the new. Please note this system will be going with me to Westlan on August 14-16th so if you want to see it in the blood come along. This was my first attempt, there's an E2180 at 3.33ghz in that fish tank of oil, the motherboard is free standing and the evaporation is comparatively bad but i was happy. That pump and radiator were freebies oddly enough, given to me by a good friend who was an enthusiast a few years back and didn't need this gear any more. the AC unit before i completely hacked it apart. The compressor in this one is broken after 5 years of service to another friend of mine's server room. In that picture you can probably see where i started sawing then realised picture taking would be good. Now we shift to new! This is the tank after a proper lid was fitted, it's still not brilliant but the evaporation problem is better. note the tank has silicon sealant around the edges, about a half of a tube. This is the AC unit after i'd had my way with it, compressor and everything else apart from fan and radiator have been hacked out. In this picture the fan is disconnected for the time being, but there's a helpful circuit diagram on this 25W fan for when I do need it The pump remains the only issue, but i'll be fixing that as soon as I have sold a few things to raise money.
My Oil Immersion PC with Industrial AC Unit whoops, didn't read the rules the first time... by golly that was stupid. That's the main PC, with it's new shiny lid on. The following pictures show stages of completion and the AC unit that once I get a decent pump is going to be my main cooling method. http://img40.imageshack.us/i/img7731nnu.jpg/ http://img263.imageshack.us/i/img7732.jpg/ http://img24.imageshack.us/i/img7774.jpg/ http://img194.imageshack.us/i/img8383r.jpg/ http://img291.imageshack.us/i/img8385cropped.jpg/
Not modded internally, But I do sign writing for a Living her is what i have done to my case. I can Print off what ever images or create them to add to the panels and front. the vented area took over 2 hours too cut out all the holes, I had saw fingers at the end of it and i think it was worth my while doing it. i am not too happy with the front and will change that soon. I am hoping that within the next few month i have bought my own machine and setup shop my self.
