been working on My PUNISHER case for a while now and i got a new idea wanted to test it out with u guys im going with idea 2 i was just wondering wat u guys thought.. also my friend suggested not to use molding (cause molding the teeth part would be hard) just glue it into the case....gimme ideas
So it's basically a window in the top of the case? Design 1 would be relatively straight forward. Design 2 would possibly work assuming you've got a bit of plexi below the cut metal which would hold those "teeth" up. Can't really say I like the shape of the window myself. I find some of the edges a bit too sharp. Does it have any significance? Personally, I'd cut a window so that you didn't see the cd/hard drive racks, unless you've got a windowed drive that you want to show off. I wouldn't really want the PSU to be visible either. So my window would be a bit shorter lengthways. I wouldn't bother rounding the ends like that either. rectangular windows look best in square cornered cases. Why not have those "teeth" going the whole length of the window meeting at the other side (so basically, it'd be four holes you're cutting out), it would make it a little more sturdy and would look just as good, if not better. With some heavy bolts holding in the plexi window you could go for a really cool industrial look.
they both look good, but it looks to me as if you've got your companents vastly out of scale, the psu would fill alot more than that and so would the drive racks, also thats 1 thick motherboard if it goes all the way to the side of the case remember, unless you have a case with huge dimensions you usualy dont see much but metal through the top, unless u also window ur drives and psu
