Im planning to light up my case. But i need some help This is my case dimensions. 18"(H) 5"(W) 16"(D) I dont want to add CCFL lights. Im thought of using LED lights. These are colors im planning to use White Blue Red Green Blue Even thought there are different colors i will only use one colour at once. Im using switches. My question is how many LED lights will i need to light up my case?
That depends on how bright the lights are and how wide the angle is. I have 42 LEDs with an average brightness of 15000mcd and an opening angle of about 50 degrees mounted in a shelf spanning one wall. And when it's dark out the LEDs alone lights up most of the room, not equal to a lightbulb, but more than enough to see well in the room, even in the farthest corners.
Yeah, It's all about placement and size, LED's tend to give off more of a direct ray of light than spread it around, so keep that in mind.
