You could just get a USB CD drive, or get a slimline and mount it somewhere else cunningly.
    Good Luck.

    Hmm, a cunning plan, yessssss.

I'm thinking over it, and on Monday when I am not in work I will try some measuring etc, and get out the dremel. I cannot increase the size of the roof of the case as I have no clue how to do so, or weld, or rivet etc.

Wonder if a mate of mine around my local might.

Unless there is a spare O-ring in your DCC kit, you best dismantle that pump again and add the O-ring. :p

Looking forward to hearing how it handles things

There was, thankfully. :) Still pondering how to carve the internals of the case up to fit it all in there.

So this ended up on hold for a while due to large amount of home stuff.

I was tempted to take this one of two ways.
    1) Make the shuttle into the ecto-containment unit from Ghostbusters. Tricky, but possibly funny as hell.

    2) Steampunk. Steampunk comes across extremely beautifully to my eyes. I love the look, the feel, the costumes, all of it. But while modding a case is one thing, steampunking it is a whole new level of insanity (in so much as attempting to make a mod).

So if any of you out there have experience or suggestions for steampunking it I'd be very grateful for any advice.

In the meantime I'm going to start trawling the internet for ideas and inspiration.
