I'm relatively new to modding so some help/ideas would be well appreciated,
My plan is to mod a Lian Li PC-65B I want to go with a black and silver theme so I was thinking of putting case handles and a 92mm blowhole kit both from MNPCTech, for the window to apply automobile tint to it, and I might want to add wheels but not really sure how that would look. For the inside I plan to put an aluminum plate that will go under the psu and will hide some of the wires, for the rest of the wires I plan to run through a steel shower hose to look somewhat like Orac and was thinking about using some black plexi tho hide the drives. Was also wondering what I can do to the front to match the rest of the case. Not really sure what else so some help would be nice.

Was also wondering what you guys thought of a rotozip instead of a dremel since I already happen to own one

For the wires you'll like it with the shower hose.I,ve sleeved a psu with it and i liked it a lot, it really showed in my plexi case.I really like the idea, everyone is trying to hide the wires and gnome showed us to enhence them instead of hiding them.I've also splitted the mobo cable just to make more lol :hehe:

Whatever you have to work with is good, it's not a matter of tools but one of results :thumb:
I've also modded a drive cage with plexi and it looks good.Mine was clear cause i modded the drives also

I'd also put the front fans outside and use something like this for a more industrial look. Also you could get a chrome fan controller or something on the upper part to finish the front off

Well those are my suggestions :D

that 3rd picture of the fan looks mad with the honeycomb style, and the psu is also awsome, how much did you pay for the silver shower hose, (cheap/expencive?) because i think it looks good, mite try it

I got it from home depot in the bathroom/plumbing dept.
They have smaller ones 5 feet long and the one i got was 7 feet, the name is "bungee shower hose" so when i took off the rubber hose inside that gives the stretch i had nearly 9 to 10 feet of shiny S/S hose
And the price was $27 not cheap but looks so awsome on a PSU lol :D

It's a real pain to cut though. Also get yourself 3/4 inch heat shrink tubing for the ends cause when you cut it, it becomes very sharp. :eyebrow:

The carbon fiber on the aluminum fan looks great but I think a dark color for the honeycomb grill would add even better contrast and overall enhance the appearance a bit more.

I sleeved IDE cables in shower hose once, but then realised it conducts electricity and abandoned it, how did you get around that problem?

got some new ideas and changed some old ones
for the front i am either going to mount 2 silver mesh fanguards on a piece of aluminum or I am going to just buy a piece of silver mesh and make a piece that will cover the dual 80mm fans up front
For the window I am just going to keep it the same and not tint it
still going to use an aluminum plate under the PSU, though I will have to sut out a hole for the psu fan, and not sure if I am going to end up using the shower hoses might just do black sleeving and maybe some black connectors
not going to tint piece of plexi covering drive cages but just going to use a pece of black plexi or maybe even some spare Lian Li black aluminum

please leave feedback on how you think these new ideas will work and what you think on anything else in this case mod
