i'd found out not long after coming back on the forum. i've been looking through the mods every now any then, but recently as i've been out of work i've had some free time to play with a few build ideas i've had for a while and wanted advice. been brilliant so far! :D

My OH bought his system from them. It was DoA, we had to ship it back and forth 3 times for them to finally refund it. They never opened the case once (we would put clear tape over different doors on the case so we could tell) to even check the parts. I've heard of them using the same license of windows for multiple builds before too.

In the end he got his built by a local computer firm and no doubt paid too much but wanted somewhere he could walk in to if it went wrong, it's what made me come here to build my own.

It was a surprise, but tbh i dont think it will affect anyone.
I am a forum member on there, and a regular customer and i have never had a problem with them, (but i never had to return anything;))
But their Customer service do seem to have a very bad rep, reading what i have in here and other forums.

Rumor is, it went for 50 million Euro's

I'll never forget the last batch of "B-grade" Dell Utrasharp 30" they sold for 400 that where actually broken and they refused to refund as it was listed B-grade. Sorry most Ebay stores are better then that.

I've only ever bought small bits off them in recent years. All my big stuff I buy from either Scan or Ebuyer.

Bought my GTX 480 from them as B stock last year (June) and it turned out to be a customer return with some missing trinkets that I didn't need anyway - cost me £150 plus some postage when next cheapest at time was easily £300. Card has been flawless for that time so I have no beef with them but accept that out of 1000's of customers a few knowledgable people will have had some issues - I'll buy from them again, not least because they are the only site that is listing the Corsair 550D atm (although I should check scan/ebuyer/kika-novatech and stop being lazy) even though it is a pre-order so could go tits up easily.

Bizarrely never had any problems with them, been a satisfied customer and member of the forums for years... Everybody else has these horror stories; hence I don't recommend them (CCL, Novatech & Scan are my most reputable 3) but I'm happy to shop there.

Had decent experience with returns as well, spoke to a chap on the phone a couple of times everything sorted.

    Guess I'm just lucky.

Really hoping to see the range expand, have bought from Caseking before cheaper than the UK inc shipping... Now that's not right is it. :p

They were really awful actually of not letting you know if an order you had placed and there was one part of that order not in stock. Always had to chase them up about that. I'm not talking days, I'm talking weeks !

Reading through this and from what I already know, it makes me wonder what casking are thinking about wanting to by them out, especially at the prices being touted:duh:

Tell you what i was permabanned, i had spent alot money in the time i was there, just lets say some of my purchases were like a couple of MSI 580's LE's. The business side and the people i spoke to in the office were fine, it was just the forum.

Why did i get permabanned because of their gay funny body building thread, so naked men lots of pants and actually no pants sometimes :thumb: so i put some clean pics of myself in for fun, **** me, bring a female in to it and let the insults begin, ****ing i'm not going to be told i am a whore by any guy on a forum, there were a few that made it constantly their point, yet when i defended myself i got permabanned, i mean guys if you are going dish it out i am going to give it back.

They couldn't of needed my money, i still bought my samsung sa 750 off them before i went, i honoured my order i could of cancelled. But i'm not anal like that, seems they are though in many ways :D

I do still like the water cooling part of the forums and of course OC and cooling side.

They have some awesome cases in stock and maybe they'll have a lot more buying power and put some serious pressure on others and just maybe price's will drop:banghead::banghead::banghead:

I've never personally had issues with OCuk but have heard friends waiting forever on returns or not being able to change orders before being dispatched even on small items. It will be nice to see some lower prices and hear of better service as its always nice to shop around and not have to worry of any horror stories.

For the last 4 years i've been a Scan-man however, their customer service is brilliant always and even if i mess something up they always go out their way to help out. For example I changed my order today and I'll still be getting it tomorrow by dpd* no less (*another reason why i love scan) Changed the H40 for the Kuhler 620 :p

The forum is a odd/vile place. Its more like a online OCUK "mob" that gank the hell out of anyone who says ANYTHING against ocuk.

That isn't untrue, however it happens with other retailer forums as well. At the end of the day they are a business.

Still I use their forums more than any others and find them fine on a day to day basis.

Ultimately I welcome the any changes that caseking bring to the table on the retailer side of things, they are far from perfect (as are any retailer really) and need some changes made at the very least to the returns side of things.

Actually mrbungle is right I saw it a lot on the forum there's a hard core bunch of them that think they are special in some way and they gang up on anyone that don't fit in, As for the owner I was told by him him that he was god.

    I didn't disagree!?

Just pointing out that it happens on other retailer forums in the same manner.
