I had to get trading standards and MasterCard on the case when trying to return a clearly faulty GPU for the 1 and only time I ever ordered from those jackasses. I get this real shitty letter response from Mark Proudfoot (the at the time twatty MD I think) as if an angry child had written it after getting told off. Didn't help him/them though, I got my refund and the 2 fees for their supposed tests that found the item to be not faulty and the redelivery costs (total £50) but it took me the best part of 4 months. The trading standards rep I spoke to also intimated that they were already being investigated for many other complaints, although he would not elaborate. How those Muppets are still in business is a bit of a mystery, although from the quality of their forum "community" it speaks volumes about their customer base.
Being one of the people that OCUK royally pissed off and screwed over many years ago, I can't say I'm sorry to see this. Hopefully this will be a change for the better and they will actually start looking after their customers in the future, because they've had precisely £0.00 trade from us for the past five-and-a-bit years. I've told the story many times here on bit, if you're interested, use the search. 'OCUK' and my username should find it. My brother has been a member of their forum for several years now and thinks it's great, basically holding the same opinion of it that I do of bit-tech, but I know what they're really like. I didn't pursue my case in 2006, it was going to cost too much time, money and effort to do so, and I was only starting out at the time. The only thing I did about it after realising that I wasn't going to get anywhere was tell them in writing they'd never have a penny more of trade from me, and that's exactly what happened.
