I have one of those calculaters but the keypad is in peices I could fix it but then again I would like to use its lcd instead, Well not the lcd alown but well look... and . Thanks.
Well I have herd that you can interface TI's but Casios I dont know better let someone more experienced than me tell you,Isn't there somthing like this in the FAQ's.
it goes to the number pad, And I dont want to fix the pad for there is a crack along it,So I wanted to know if instead of doing a bunch of stuff costing a lot of cash could I just somehow wire it up so I could use the lcd,Not just the lcd but the little microcontrolers on it to...You know what I mean.
Start looking at the ICs on the LCD, and searching for the datasheets, see if you can find the one which is the LCD controller. Then see if you can learn about how to interface with the controller, and then write pic code to interface with it. Lot harder than it sounds though.
well if you look in the pics the silver thing covers this one microchip that controles the lcd and has no nuber on it, what would the other microchips do, and I was hopeing to control it through the parellel/other ports. One chip number is d43256bgu-b12 and the other is d23c4001ejgw than I think this is the number for the chip under the silver hc3010bf1 and I can't find enything.
