Recently put my system into a new case. After booting up Catalyst control panel, Ati tray and a few other programs wont load. I click on them and get the busy icon for about a second then nothing. Didnt do any thiing else so i can't think what could have caused it. I'm running Win 7 64bit

Anyone else suffered from this and any ideas how to solve it as ive got a shiny new second HD5970 to put in and set up in crossfire.:D

Did you install the 64bit drivers/programs?

Didnt install anything. just transplanted the system from one case to another. May have swapped sata ports around for better cable tidying but no software changes. Thats what i find so puzzling.

I've had problems with the Cat control centre as I've been tinkering with a machine for a friend. Uninstalled and reinstalled it and, after a couple of blue screen crashes, all seems ok.

    Good luck

Have tried re- install, deleting 10.8 and re-installing both 10.7 and 10.6. Still no joy.

And I'm still getting the odd bsod lol

Is your gpu driver up to date? If not, is it possible that there's a compatibility problem?

As I understand it you don't actually need the control centre so you could just uninstall and be done with it.

What about setting up crossfire. Thought it was needed for that.

Oh I see, my mistake. I misinterpreted what you said. I thought you meant you'd done a fresh build.

So nothing has actually been altered, puzzling. Have you tried using System Restore?

I had the same problem, few weeks ago. Use 'Driver sweeper' in Safe mode, remove your ATI drivers & reinstall catalyst 10.6.
