Hi all, couple of questions on cathodes and their inverters. Does anyone know what specs a normal 12" and 4" pc cathode inverter kicks out? I am looking to get Start.Voltage of 900vrms, Drive.Voltage of 400vrms and a driving current of 4-5marms.(tdk cxa-l10l) is recommended inverter but cheapest i have found in the uk is about £15delivered Will a normal inverter do ? I opened one up but no specs and nothing to google. Also , does it matter which way the polarity is when driving a cathode ? sense says it will but i can't find a positve or negative on the cathodes in question-yes they are on lcds, yes i have checked the datasheets, no help there, and a search throws up few answers, but no definate yes or no. Please help, this is the last hurdle , then i get 2 Blue Gfx lcds to play with. Thanks in Advance Minging
Sup mate, still toying around with dem LCD's ? . You can safely use those inverters (mine's from Sunbeam) from PC CCFL tubes for your LCD backlight. I've used them for 320x240 and even the 640x200 backlighting. There's no polarity on the output (CCFL) side.
Thank You So Much I was going to sleep some now, think i will play with my toys instead lol 240x128 and a Spanking new 320x240 lcd i received yesterday morning from Henry, and they are both blue, now do i mount em together or seperate ??? Thanks again mate.. Sleep who needs it
