WHAT!? So I attempted to start up Counterstrike: Source.....like I do EVERY DAY and it replies with that error message (thread title). Please, please, please somebody tell me this is a common mistake that can be fixed....I've owned CS:S since release, infact I've probably spent £100> buying it for friends. I've logged over 400 hours *recorded* thousands of hours not recorded.....Steam...if you've done this to me there's going to be phone calls, and they're going to be ****ing LOUD! Any ideas?
Okay, going through Steam Support, this is ****ing hilarious. Enter your profile name or e-mail and password......ok that seems simple enough.....'you don't exist'.....right ok. I've forgotten my password then, enter email or username again, no problemo.....can't find any account with that name or e-mail.....orly? I'm logged into it right now! FFFFFFUUUUUUUUU edit: nevermind, support accounts are seperate......should be more obvious tbfh. Getting somewhere now, but I had to find my original box, type in the CD key and now I have to take a photograph of my CD Key.....this is an absolute disgrace.
Steam hasnt been accecpting my cd keys for a while now, i bought something new and it wouldnt do it as well ;(
