I recently bought a physx card and have tried playing cell factor but every time i select new game from the menu my computer completely locks up. I cant even get to task manager :-( Everything else in the menus work fine. I can change settings, etc. I have tried reinstalling the game several time, and I have made sure that I have up to date physx and video drivers. I dont know what else to try. Anyone have any ideas??? Specs: AMD 64 4200+ X2, Asus A8N-SLI nForce4 Ultra, 2 Gigs PC 3200, EVGA 7900 GTX 512mb
Firewall You're probably using ZoneAlarm firewall? It has a habit of popping up when you least expect it. Just open up the firewall application, then go to the programs section, look for the Cell Factor executable (or add it to the list) and just tell ZoneAlarm that you trust this application.
