    Hi

Some of you might remember my rant on the SE k750i that didn't got repaired a few times. Well after another few times bringing it in for repair, I finally got my money back and got myself a Samsung E770.

I have just found a nice website with java applications and games. (http://www.getjar.com/software/Java/Samsung_176x220/Applications/set2)

But I can't get them to work! I send them to the phone, using bluetooth. And they try to open them, without luck.

    Here is what I have:
    Apple Laptop with Bluetooth 2.0
    Samsung E770 with Bluetooth

I don't have the usb-cable as it doesn't come with that cable in Belgium. Also don't have the software as it only works on windows.

Any help? You can download the games from those paying thingy's (like ringtones) but I don't want that, I want it free. lol.

    Thanks
    L

With the SonyEricsson range you just send the file to the phone and it sorts out the rest and displays the app/game in the correct folder for you...

    hi

yeah. with the se you just send the files to the phone and it works. but with this samsung you apparantly need to do some complicated things with the usb-cable and some software on WINDOWS.

And it doens't sync its adressbook with iSync either..

    I really don't get why.

You may be able to find a cable, suitable Apple Mac software, and instructions on how to download/transfer files/games on Samsung's Belgian mobile phone site?

Alternatively... have a look-see on some of the sites listed here, to see what they offer ;)

I don't know if Samsung offer Mac software, but PC Studio 3.0 software is available for your E770. Just select your phone model here.
I'll leave it to your good self to figure out how to use/transfer it to your Mac laptop?

Finally... you'll find loads of E770 Java games here :thumb:

    Hi Hazardous,

Thanks for your reply. I want some apps/games on my Samsung, but I really don't wanna pay for it. I have bluetooth, so don't think I need to buy a cable. And I definalty don't want to pay 3£ or 4,5€ for a game. Or 1£ or 1,5€ for a ringtone.

Aren't there site's out there that have ringtones/polyphonic ringtones/vibetonz, that I can just download and bluetooth to my phone?

    Michiel

(I've already given up on the games/apps :p)

There very probably are Michiel, but I'd have to Google for them... and I'm quite sure you're very proficient at using it yourself :D

[edit] BTW:. You don't need to download ringtones etc to a computer first, then transfer them via bluetooth or USB? You can download them directly to your mobile phone  [/edit]

    Hi

I am from Belgium too, i have downloaded some games
    PHP:
    www.mobile9.com
here, just click within "games" and "here" (i hope link works, otherwise just my bad :D) but I don't know how to install them. I tried copying and pasting but my cellphone doesn't recognize it (SGH D880 DuoS) AND reboots without asking password or anything

    Got some ideas?:eyebrow:
