I live in Michigan and i'm looking to see what the best cellular service is for a good price and has good reseption. any help.... Black-Ice w00t my 100th post
Just couldn't hit that edit button I don't know for sure about up north. But here, I've been screwed over by sprint. AT&T is doing a right fine job though.
Depends on who you have.... Voicestream/Tmobile is going to be digital nation wide soon... as is Cingular.... Sprint is Pretty good, they have decent rate plans.... AT&T is only good for broadband internet... their cell phone and regular phone service blows, Verizon is ok, but they have some nasty charges if you go roaming or anything like that.
I think there's supposed to be a subject there. IE "Verizon is best if you're up north." or "AT&T is best if you're up north."
Voicestream got bought out by T-Mobile... a German Company They're all digital, and they've got decent coverage if you're in a city... but if you're not, forget it, their coverage sucks... I get great service at my shop, but at my house the coverage is non-existant... so I have Cingular and Voicestream... Cingular works great at my house and my shop, Voicestream works well at my shop.
t mobile just bought 1 to 1 out in england (well a while ago but only recently have they started heavily advertising), ah well i dont care as long as i still get my free voicemail & cheap text messages arent all mobiles digital anyway?
I think there are still analogue networks in the USA, here in the UK we're all digital as far as I'm aware. I'm probably wrong tho
verizon is the best to get over here, not much else avaible. the one major thing i would look for in your area would be coverage. **** poor in my part of the woods.
yes we are all digital, and the us are a couple of years behind us in the whole mobile phone take over!!! which is why we have better phones than the americans, and more of our kids have them, cuz there so damned cheap!
just like Japan, these are the advantages of living on a small island I have cingular through my work, it costs them about $49 a mo, 600 any time minutes, a billion night and weekend, nationwide roaming included, free long distance. It's a good deal, we just got upgraded phones to the 3360 series Nokias.
I use Alltel, and I've been extreemly pleased with their service and services. They use analog or digital, whatever is in the neighbourhood. My phone works nationwide for like $35 a month, no roaming baby! I haven't had any reception problems at all, except for in my apartment, but that doesn't matter because I've got a landline here. (that's what I get for living behind a mountain!) Anyway, these people gave me a free phone when they shouldn't have (no deals or specials, didn't sign up for anything extra, just changed services & couldn't afford a new phone to use the services to their full extent. I was in the middle of a contract and they still let me switch, and found an extra phone lying around & gave it to me along with charger/car adapter!) They impressed me, obviously. And no, US hasn't gone totally digital yet, but we are getting there.
