that is such a beautiful case... shame that dragon is cut into it dosnt look like it should be part of the chainsaw massacre theme, but other wise i am left speechless, lets see what else you can do to the case to top that paint job, keep up the good work!
that paint job is utterly sexual, you (well, tom could, and probably is) making a mint selling these aww forget it, you get what i mean
Kinda cheap to get one of those I dont rly like the cut out on the side. But the work is amazing! http://www.chilledpc.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?products_id=246
Sorry for the delay folks, waiting for parts and life holding me up but new up updates by the weekend !
Ok, finally got some time to start some of the things i wanted to do with the case, i'm still waiting for parts so some small updates for the cause !! I want to cut the motherboard tray lip (then spray it black !) so that i can neatly hide the power and eide leads so the shaded areas are to come off, and so to the jigsaw :- Unfortunatley the jigsaw was broken so lets go old school ! :- A couple of people mentioned seeing the insides of the case so here is the anodised interior :- And the belly of the beast :- I decided to mount the nice Yate Loon in the Scythe Kama bay and the black Scythe fan in the roof of the case with a nice Chilled Pc rad grill to finish it off !:- I decided early on i wanted to glue the perspex to the side panel to keep the outside panel lines clean so here is the finished result :- I also thought i'd spray the pci blanking plates and remove the graphics and other cards backing plates and spray them all black :- And re-assembled :- More to come soon as the parts arrive !! Sorry the pics are a little fuzzy, i left my nice camera at work !!
looks pretty farkin kewl main... shoulda been called the home sick per.... ok thats enough... looks killer nice anodising jobby. Wanna pay for mine to be done ? I want mine done in green
looking good. awesome being part of chilled pc website! i wasn't a big fan of the dragon but the "splash" goes really well with it, it looks soooo cool in the 2nd last shot on chilled pc's website! nice job with painting the rear plates black, that will go nicely. im not too keen on that top fan tho, i reckon the fan sticker really needs to be painted black, would look much better. or maybe fit a red fan under the black grill - doesnt have to be an led fan, red plastic under a black grill would blend in very nicely i think... or, what if you paint the fan sticker black, leave the grill plain black, but then "flick" some red streaks over the fan randomly! i think that would look soooo coool, should match the case really well. dunno if the red streaks will be heavy enough to unbalance the fan? if a really light/thin acrylic red paint is used, and the fan is low rpm, then maybe the imbalance wont be big enough to cause any audible difference?
in the paintball industry, where annodising is really big, the term we use for a process like that is acid wash. I really love it, now if I could just get someone in the states to do it for me...
Yes, its an air cooled project manx, the wavemaster has lovely lines but not really enough space for water cooling (designs a little old now !) and i wanted to keep the lines clean from the start ! I thought about the top fan mvagusta and even the wires too it are annoying me (blue and red !) so i think this will change for sure, i also thought about paint splatter but i dont think it would be possible to match the anodising and i think that might stick out even more !!
Couple of small updates, still waiting for bits to arrive !! Motherboard tray srayed and back in (its a shame it will be hidden By the mobo !), and a few better interior shots for the people who asked !! Front panel removed and fans inserted, going to change the led's in the curvy front panel for red ones as well as the hard drive activity light ! And with the led's in and the not small amount of sleeving underway !! More to come soon !!
wowo very clean work and cool hot red style!!! man this is very damm cool project.. Well done and keep going
