I know someone out there in the bit-tech community has done this mod but I can't seem to find any info from searching so I am down to starting a new thread about it. I want to know what LED's I need to get that will work ok in the Vantec Nexus fan controller by just swapping out the blue for the color I want (green).
    Any thoughts/ideas? :D

I have done a very similar mod to my fanbus which has 2 LEDs per knob which are variable intensity (depending on fan speed). In my case all I did was check whether the LEDs were 3mm or 5mm and decide on how intense I wanted the light.
Even though the PCB will have resistors using specific values of the standard LED's fV & A, there is an amount of leeway that should allow you to use common LEDs (match the diode size too).
