Is it possible to change the resolution to something higher than what is default? Right now, the only choices I get are 800*600 or 1024*768. Can I get anything higher than that?? Thanks for the help

Unless you have a 17" or larger monitor.... No.

It depends you ay find it goes higher. The limits on the Display Properties are set by the monitor drivers so if you don't have the right drivers installed you can get lower limits than what's possible.

Well, I do have the right drivers for my monitor. My 15" LCD Flat-Panel is an Eizo Nanao L365. I was just wondering if I could hit like 1280*... or something like that.

No you won't be able to get those kind of resolutions on a 15" TFT. Max resolution for a 15" is usually 1024x768.

I havn't seen any 15" ones that go higher than 1024*768 that normal people could afford...

    Most 17" / 18" will do 1280*1024

some 18" manage 1600*1200 but it is mostly 19"+ that do.

You need to understand how a LCD is contructed.

At 1024x768 there are really 1024 pixels wide, and 768 pixels high.

If you want a higher resolution, you need more pixels.

You can run lower resolutions, by turning one two or 1.5 pixels per "real" pixel.

This is why text is often messed up at lower resolutions.
