Believe it can be done in Win 7, i want to change the default windows picture/logo on the logon screen, can it be done with XP?
lol google. Yes the XP logon screen can be changed, but in Windows 7 it is much easier to change it. Windows 7 change is just to switch one registry value from 0 to 1 then drop a .jpg with the name backgroundDefault into a folder and you're good to go. XP I've heard requires more registry tweaking and is generally much harder so most people don't do it.
Cheers however i did google prior to asking here as (given the nature of who we are on here its the obvious thing) and i have tried some of these and i have not had success the orginal logo background remains including a reg edit - the reason for posting was to see if anyone had a solution of a "tried and tested" method they have actually done/used themself.
you can grab tweakui to do this easily. get tweakui powertoy http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx
